About Me

At heart I have a passion for making a sewing machine do things most people wouldn't dream of, let alone attempt, whether this is under the heading 'Artist', 'Designer' or 'Embroiderer'.

I use a variety of other techniques in my work, including hand embroidery, feltmaking, goldwork, printing and dyeing. I like to reinvent traditional hand embroidery techniques, such as cut-work, using free-machine embroidery often in conjunction with wire and a soldering iron to create contemporary work.

I have a First Class degree in Applied Creative Design (Textiles). I was a finalist in the 2010 Hand & Lock competition for Hand Embroidery and selected for the Embroiderers' Guild graduate showcase at the Knitting and Stitching Shows in 2011.
